Leasing advice - self employed

I'm looking to lease a vehicle for my self employed business.
The vehicle may be used for courier work & potentially even taxi work in the future.
However a friend has mentioned that I may not be able to lease a vehicle because of a 'hire and reward' rule. Does anyone know anything about this?

I'd have thought that many taxis or courier vehicles were leased, but they would have to be devalued for that use at the start if the lease.

That would probably increase your costs so I'd make a decision about whether you will be doing it or not.

Most taxi leases are from specialist/specific places. As a lot of lease companies will exclude those trades or have mileage caps.

May be different if you just finance a vehicle though
