Napier Parking FCN - For doing a delivery

Hi folks. I need your precious advice please.

I'm a self employed delivery driver for Amazon Flex. I was hit with a Fixed Charge Notice for parking on a double yellow in a car park belonging to the block of flats I was delivering to. I had only gone for a maximum of 3 minutes.
(Not too sure how to upload my letter as I'm not allowed to post links as a new user of this forum)

I deliberately parked in a space where it wouldn't be of obstruction to anyone so I was shocked to have received the FCN through the post.

I've already lodged an appeal to Napier Parking but was unsuccessful. They have provided me with an option to appeal to the IAS which I have 3 more days left to appeal.

The question is do I have any grounds of appealing? If so, what should be my next step?

Many thanks in advance.

Yes you do have a case to appeal, but you will be wasting your time as the IAS are scammers too.

Vtodaizza, the PCN image you have posted has enough information to identify your unique parking incident.

You would be wise to blank out at least the precise timings.
  • Oh. Thanks for that KeithP. Amended and updated now.
  • fisherjim, so if I appeal to the IAS and get rejected. What should be my next step? The problem is that as I'm self employed, I can't prove that I was delivering for Amazon. I had contacted Amazon support but they didn't want to know. Thanks

I would try a daft appeal to IAS, the driver informs the keeper that they stopped, exited the vehicle to read the parking restriction, noticed it was contractual parking only and decided to reject the offer and left the site.
The vehicle was on site less than 3 minutes.
I do Contracts, all day every day.
  • Thanks Marktheshark. When I appealed with Napier parking, I already wrote that I was making a delivery. Even though it's a daft appeal, if I put the above to IAS, won't it come back to bite me as the 2 statements contradict eachother.

Do not even try IAS, the NEWBIES thread makes that clear. Come back if they try a claim.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
