Advice needed: Substantial price drop after purchase

I recently bought an engagement ring from Goldsmiths (August) - I got it with interest free finance and deposit.
Today I noticed the ring has dropped by £1000!

Is there anything I can do, or do I just have to grin and bear it?

    No there is nothing you can do. If you bought the ring last week, you could have asked them nicely if they might consider refunding you the difference, but they would have no obligation to do so.

    As already said you can ask them nicely if they'd be willing to give something back. Yes, as seen on this board, it does work sometimes. It's worth a go.
