Advice needed: Substantial price drop after purchase

I recently bought an engagement ring from Goldsmiths (August) - I got it with interest free finance and deposit.
Today I noticed the ring has dropped by £1000!
Is there anything I can do, or do I just have to grin and bear it?

No there is nothing you can do. If you bought the ring last week, you could have asked them nicely if they might consider refunding you the difference, but they would have no obligation to do so.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

As it will get mentioned at some point, let's get it out the way early on.
If the price had gone up by £1000, would you be wanting to pay the extra?0 -
More bad news - you overpaid for that ring by at least 200% of what it was actually worth. Sorry.0

As already said you can ask them nicely if they'd be willing to give something back. Yes, as seen on this board, it does work sometimes. It's worth a go.0
