Manchester airport parking problems.

Options
We have just got back to T2 from a week away, only to find that the pick up area is a building site. There are no clear instructions on how to find your pick up point, jetparks customers were queuing with APH and vice versa.

We arrived in day light, the last time Manchester airport stuffed us as APH customers was two or three years ago, it was dark wet and windy.

I will pay a bit more and fly from what we consider to be the better airports of Leeds/Bradford and Doncaster. We can be in the car on the way home from Doncaster within an hour of landing. APH took almost as long from texting them to getting my car keys.

Sort yourselves out Manchester airport, you won't see us again.

Why have you posted the same thing on 2 different boards?

    Interesting you say that....

    1. What happens if Leeds/Bradford and Doncaster have work done in the future? Could you potentially end up in the same sort of predicament?

    2. With the recent Ryanair stuff in mind (cancelled flights) and compensation (makes business sense to divert and cancel low volume flights to meet high volume demands), which flights do you reckon they will cancel in similar situations? They would *probably* cancel the ones involving Leeds/Bradford and Doncaster over the ones involving Manchester, due to the relative size of the airports.

It's never a bright idea to tell somewhere to 'sort themselves out' but in the same sentence vow never to use them again.
    Incentive?
    What incentive?

Leeds/Bradford is a very small airport. Fine if you want domestic flights or anywhere by Jet2.

no good if you want to go anywhere outside of Uk and Europe.
Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j

If Manchester Airport is a building site then it sounds like they are in the process of "sorting themselves out".

Also on a Moneysaving forum you should really look to fly from the airport with the cheapest deal and not have a favourite airport.

More cowboys than in a John Wayne movie operating off site car parking at Manchester Airport. Only ones I use are the on terminal multi storeys, but only after using the regular discount codes I receive.

Shouldn't it be the best value deal? That's not necessarily the cheapest and even if money saving not everything comes down to £.

I'd take into account the flight cost.
Then the cost of getting to/from the airport which may be taxi or petrol costs (possibly including parking plus hotel).
Then consider the flight timings. I may decide to pay extra to fly from one airport because the departure/arrival times are more convenient for me.

I returned to manchester T2 on Tuesday. Yes it is a bit of a building site but it was still obvious where to get the parking buses from.

Off the plane, through passport control, collected bags, got bus to the car parking and on my way home within 45 minutes. Pretty good compared to most airports.

    (T1 Multistorey)
I love Manchester airport for what its worth

Apart from the fact that parking my car there for 3 days was actually more expensive than the flight its-self !!
