Motability & choosing dealer

Hey everyone
Just wondered in regards to the Motability Car Scheme.
Say for example I chose the car I would like. However 2 dealers have the car priced differently from New. Am I able to go to any dealer who sells this car cheapest or is the price fixed for Motability regardless of where you get it from?
Thanks

The price is fixed for all models by Motability.
    Happy choosing :)

Advance payments yes, I seen all are the same
But say for example I see a car priced at £23,000 and the dealer 10 miles away prices is at £22,500 - does this matter for Motability? Or they just go what Motability site says for that specific car.

Reason I am asking is if for example I require some extras fitted, that £500 could go quite far for me :D
  • The dealers price makes no difference as Motability have there own prices set however there is nothing to stop you from haggling with the dealer about the( advance payment) if there is one or any extras/options you want again this is down to the dealer playing ball and nothing to do with Motability.:)

No, it doesn't work like that. The price Motability pays the dealer is different to the price an individual person would pay. Motability buy so many cars that they get a discount - it's like a company car scheme in that respect.

The £500 wouldn't exist, so you can't benefit from it.

ETA: That was to Chokolat, I cross posted with bigbulldog so it looks like I was replying to him when I wasn't.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

When I chose my first Motability car I changed my mindset.

I had always bought secondhand, fairly basic models to keep maintenance costs down (less to go wrong). A manual wing mirror is a lot cheaper than electric etc. Often cheaper insurance too.

When choosing a Motability car it was almost a no-brainer to go for the bells and whistles at very little extra cost. just a small increase in the the advance payment.
