I might have read your response wrong, insofar as believing that you were suggesting that as the PPC already had your details via DVLA, you didn’t re-write them in your appeal. Sorry if that is the case.

    No problem at all :)
  • Morning all,

I've received a reply from Steve Clark, saying that he will get in touch with smart parking to see what has happened and if something can be done.

I'll post up when I hear more. :)

Mr Clark has got back to me after speaking directly with smart parking, who insisted an appeal response containing a popla had been sent to me. But have aggreed that occasional emails go astray and consequently have agreed to cancel the charge on this occasion as a gesture of goodwill.

Thank you, everyone, for all your advise in helping me get this matter resolved. I only wish I had posted on here earlier, it would have saved a few months of stress!

    welll done

now send an email to your local MP complaining about these sc@ms and sc@mmers as the private parking companies all are , and ask him/her to support the private members bill currently going through parliament (due its second reading in early 2018)

I sure will. Is there a template I can use or best to use my own words?

With alarming and disproportionate regularity from the PPC network.

But Steve Clark is the honest face of the BPA. He gets things done and doesn’t come up with ‘protect our members at all cost’ [STRIKE]lies[/STRIKE] fob-off lines.

Glad we put you on to him. Excellent result for you.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Yes indeed, thanks again everyone!

Use your own words but point out the new Bill being heard in 2018 and ask for his/her support to crush the cowboys, seeing as the Supreme Court seemed to think they needed a leg up. It seems it's down to Parliament to deal with this scam industry.

its been on TV a lot recently that the private parking industry is issuing a ticket every 7 seconds !!

they are out of control and milking uk motorists , mainly in england and wales due to POFA2012 and petty stupid rules that have no common sense
