£100k to invest BUT bad credit history...

Hi, having sold our house (now renting) we are now nicely debt free and looking to start investing the equity from the sale. A seriously poor credit history may make this difficult I guess, even opening a decent bank account will be tough, or do you know differently? Does rocking up with fairly big deposits make a difference?
An actual debit card would be useful too, rather than my Electron joke. Any ideas would be gratefully accepted.
Thank you.

Start with a savings account at the bank where your 100k is, shouldn't be a problem
If you want to invest, then you shouldn't have an issue opening a S&S Isa0
