Should I claim Housing Benefit?

Just wondering
For a short while Housing Benefit has helped with my rent. As my wages fall short. I have applied for more work hours at work and hopefully should get some on zero hours contract(bank/flexi) alongside my usual contracted hours. I used the Turn2Us benefits calculator and based on that if I get the amount extra I can do, I would qualify for working tax (I currently do not qualify for it) I would also get a small amount for housing benefit like 20-30quid a week.
Can I opt Not to get Housing Benefit.
I am trying to be free from benefits or a need for it. The amount though nominal would help but I am thinking I can survive. I currently survive on less now. At one point I qualified for income top up from JSA on top of my wages and stopped it 1. because it really just paid parking charges to see them 2, too much hassle, they view you as not working even though you are working plus staff were never nice.
I am trying to build my income back up and be free.
Should I still claim or try and do without?

If you are entitled to claim, then do so until your income is sufficient and secure enough for you to be ineligible for help.0

Nobody is going to make you claim, it is entirely your choice if you are eligible."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0
