Ive got a few of these ive had them for years when they gave customers them.
Only worth about £1100,dividend paid about £50 last year which i now reinvest.
There never seems much growth in them would i be better selling them or is that amount of dividend ok?

What would you do with the money if you sold them?
You could certainly achieve more predictable behaviour by investing in collective instruments like funds rather than individual shares though, but there's nothing wrong with 4.5% yield IMHO if that's what you're concerned about....0 -
Only you can really answer that question, depends on your financial situation, goals and objectives.
You need to look at the bigger picture (consider your other assets/investments) rather than concentrating on these Standard Life shares, and ultimately looks to diversify your assets instead of being invested ONLY in Standard Life shares!"If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

Got plenty cash going into funds in me and the wifes sipp and avc thats what i am concentrating on at the minute, try to retire early, some cash in interest paying current accounts.
Just these shares never seem to grow much but only started reinvesting the dividend last couple of years, mistake on my part there!
Suppose a 4.5% yield is good compared to cash at the minute.0
