I,m looking at the VonHaus 9 Fin 2000W Oil Filled Radiator
can anyone say if theres any difference pricewise in electric cost if I choose the 11 fin instead?
lets say for example if they were left on for 1 hour would the price in kwh (mine is 13.5p) be any different
9 fin - 1hour = ?
11 fin - 1 hour = ?
prob a silly question I know

Theoretically, if the 11 fin can put more heat into the room (and the 9 fin can't pump out the full 2000w from its element) it will be able to use more electricity, but it would also heat up the room faster and turn off sooner.
In the end, electric heating is 100%* efficient, the cost to raise the temperature of a given room with electricity as a power source will be the same. The 11 fin is probably a better space heater, while the 9 is probably better if you're heating a smaller space (and don't want something physically larger than necessary).
*Lets not repeat the argument from the Dyson thread about the difference between 100% efficient and 99.99% efficient.3.6 kW PV in the Midlands - 9x Sharp 400W black panels - 6x facing SE and 3x facing SW, Solaredge Optimisers and Inverter. 400W Derril Water (one day). Octopus Flux0 -
thanks for the replys, gone for the 11 fin instead0

Looking at the specs a 9 fin = 2000w which would cost 27p per hour and the 11 fin is rated at 2500w = 33.75p per hour.
However the 11 fin would heat the place a bit faster than the 9 fin one so would actually be on for less time, so in the same space with the same conditions requiring the same amount of heat both radiators would cost about the same to run.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
