Howdy!
MBNA Previn proactive .
After going through a major life upheaval and reaching a settlement figure with all my creditors via payplan a few weeks ago, I just received a letter from Mbna regarding ppi .
It states that although I complained about it being mid sold and I was declined, the Supreme Court has new rules etc. Which means that all I do , is complete the form enclosed ( which is just updated address/ email/ Mobile etc) and send it back to them .

I stopped using the Mbna credit card in 2006 . I was in a dmp with different creditors from 2012 until I reached f&f / partial settlements a few weeks ago .

The creditors.I settled with were : Barclays / Santander / wescot/ pra group . My current and savings accounts are with Nationwide .

What I would like to know, is should I send off the letter to m b n a or just forget about it ?

I made the claim initially through one of those companies that advertised in the metro. They came across as shoddy and eventually I forgot about it . That was about 4 years ago.

When I joined payplan , I was put through to a company called stake my claim . However, looking a t how much I’d have to give them, I decided it wasn’t worth doing .

Apparently , if you win something from ppi, you are supposed to give it to your creditors .

Please could anyone advise.

Thanks :)

Forgot to mention , I should explain that the letter is about whether Mbna took a high level of commission on my ppi policy , but didn’t tell me when I bought it .

Thanks

You may as well send the letter back. You may not get the money yourself but you may do (depending in which country you are in within the UK and the nature of settlement).

    Thanks :)

    I’m based in England . It was a credit card I had from 1988 - 2006
I remember cutting the coupon from a newspaper back in the day just ticking the box accepting payment protection .

I don’t think Mbna is connected to my previous creditors listed butwant to make sure . I don’t want those creditors to go into my account and take out any money I may be given despite reaching a settlement with them .
