wrong address?

I purchased on Ebay an item which came with free delivery, it was never delivered at my address but when I contacted the seller they sent me a tracking No which showed it had been delivered and a signature obtained by Royal Mail who later investigated and said it looked like the wrong address had been used, it was delivered to someone in a different postal code.
I was advised by RM to contact the seller who they think had used a business account with them and should be able to verify the address used on a 'postal docket?' . The seller denies having any such docket and insists the correct address was used.
RM verified the delivery GPS position was not at my location and I am pretty sure they did deliver to the address on the package.
I have contacted the seller and told them what the evidence suggests (that they used the wrong address) but they are now silent.
The item only cost £20, the purchase was on 14th July, the Ebay No is no longer recognised so not even able to provide any feedback.
Any advice?:(

Is paypal dispute an option for INR?
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride
  • Both eBay and Paypal will side with the seller. It will only be on appeal that the buyer may be able to counter claim with the Royal Mail evidence.

This purchase is outside of eBay timelines but within Paypal's 180 days. Personally I would ring Paypal and give the entire story and ask if the evidence can be included on the original INR and not on appeal.
  • My mistake I paid by Visa, (I always link Ebay with Pay pall) sorry.

Did you pay using your Visa card through Paypal, or perhaps as a guest?

If you paid by guest, you need to ring Paypal to open the dispute you cannot do it online.
