Screen wash in coolant reservoir!
Comments
-
If it's the usual system then you will have filled the overflow reservoir and so any mixing of fluids will have been confined to the contents of that reservoir unless you run the engine. Syphon all the contents out and replace with 50/50 antifreeze of the correct spec. for the car ...important, that last bit, as there are a number of different antifreezes around nowadays.0

Leaving aside the grammatical error, I said much time not any time. In any case there may well not be a dipstick for the oil level at it is displayed 'in car'.
However the screen wash bottle and coolant expansion tank should look sufficiently different!0 -
Why does a brand new car even need the coolant topping up?
Going off-topic as OP wasn't trying to top their coolant up, but it can happen.
We have a 66-reg Skoda Superb. After about six months, the coolant light came on. Checked and the coolant was indeed low. Took it in to Skoda who refilled it and checked for leaks (none). They told us - and Google has confirmed since - that a a one-off drop in the first 10,000 miles happens sometimes, when there's some air in the system from manufacture that works its way through? My car had trapped wind. :rotfl:
Also happened to a friend with a new BMW.
Level hasn't moved in ours since it was refilled. *shrug*0 -
Would they be able to have an exciting bubble display when driving down road??:cool:0

Perhaps they were. In which case, taking the lid off and seeing that the level was high would have been a strong clue that it was the wrong reservoir, would it not?
New car, personally I'd do as others have suggested, syphon off the contents of the header, replace with correct stuff, then get the lot changed as soon as possible.0 -
Take it to your local Audi dealer and pay them £150 a hour labour to rectify it and they will prob want to fit new engine whilst its there with a sorry sir its not covered by warranty etc....................Or as stated just syphon the bit out the header tank and say nothing end of0
