Scandinavian timber build

Hi,

Was wondering if anyone has heard of Scandinavian timber build houses? We have had a survey done and it has came back as being of non standard construction as it is a timber build.

Anyone heard of any problems with these? From looking about I see that steel frame builds can cause problems but not sure about this one.

Thanks,

Gary.

I used to live in one of those (Scandinavian Timber Build).
    It was my parents.
The house was solid, had an in built natural temperature control whereby it naturally cooled in the summer time and retained heat in the winter time.

I recall the only issue was that there were limitations on mortgage lenders who would provide a mortgage for this type of house.
    Otherwise I recall no issues.

    Hope this helps
