Hi everyone. We moved into our house back in Jan. I swapped energy providers to co-op after using a price comparison site. We currently pay £74 a month gas and electric.
The final bill from n power before I switched is £253 for just 5 weeks! I've given them readings, I just can't get over how expensive that is. The first week we were not even in the house ( took over tenancy but didn't move in) and the next 4 weeks we were at work all day.
I guess there is nothing I can do but I wasn't expecting this.

You would have been on the standard ( expensive) tariff .
You have day one and exit NPower readings ??0 -
Did you give NPower your start meter readings(i.e. the day you took over tenancy) yourself, or did you leave it to the letting agent.
You will be on NPower's most expensive tariff, even so £253 is very high.0 -
Thanks guys. Yes I was here when the reading was taken. I even have photos. Just seems so over the top expensive. How on earth would a low income person afford this? Its exploitation in my opinion.0

January is the time where you’re going to be using more energy. The important thing to check is if the start readings are correct and if the end readings match the ones you gave your new supplier.0
