Was hoping to get some advice.

I recently took my Vauxhall Insignia into the local garage due to the fact I was having issue starting it.

I was advised after the diagnostic had been run that the hydraulic lifters needed to be replaced

I was also advise that the cambelt need to be changed.

After agreeing to the £850 fee to have this work done and the garage advising on two separate dates that the car would be ready when in fact it was not.

I have now been advised there is an additional issue, with an excessive amount of oil pressure. And this will be an additional cost to repair.

As this was not identified when the diagnostic was run how do I know this was not caused by the hydraulic lifters being replaced?
