How do I stop Macrium Reflect file folder from being addidently deleted?

Hi folks,

Just started using Macrium Reflect backup free after a bit of a nightmare after buying Acronis True Image 2018, what a mess it is with untold problems.

Ok I am creating a folder on one of my drives in windows 7 to store the backups of MR, but want to make sure I don't accidently delete them, but at the same time make them fully readable by MR for restore purposes.

How can I achieve this to stop the folder being deleted?
Many thanks for any advice.

Macrium Image Guardian does this, but it's not included in the free version of Reflect.

Surely the easiest thing is NOT to accidentally delete the folder!

Do you often go around accidentally deleting folders?
This is not a common trait...

Why not create MR backups on an external USB hard drive which is connected to the PC only while doing backups (or restores)?

    ^^^^ This. Is. Good. Advice.
I have used Macrium Free for years, creating Images of my whole system and backing up to a NAS now, but before I bought the NAS I used a USB external hard drive. Backing up to a drive inside your PC is not the best idea. If something happens to the PC, it may well affect all your internal drives.
I think this job really needs
    a much bigger hammer.

    Thanks for replies.
Well I do copy the backups to an external drive as well, and no, I don't have a trait of accidentally deleting folders, but show me a person who has been using a computer for years, and you can bet your bottom dollar or should that be pound that some time or other they have accidentally deleted something.

So still searching for an answer to the my original post,

Many ways to 'lock a folder: do a search to come up with many an answer such as https://operating-systems.wonderhowto.com/how-to/lock-folder-without-any-software-with-password-0150639/
That will not stop you accidentally deleting -you can always find a way to do things on a PC!!- but might make you stop and think!
I expect that you will get an error message when running macrium so you would then have to take action to allow backups.

Why not alter your yellow folder to to look like one of these to avoid mistakes.
    Click on the link below
Two of these are Reflect backups the others are Acronis 10 backups

Right click on the yellow folder in question then
    click on each of these
    customize/change icon/
    choose your preferred icon
    then finish of by clicking
    ok/apply/ok

This will probably only work if the folder is empty before you begin the change
