I can't work out how it can be 50 years?

I'm not that old even and I was about 13/14 when the Osmonds made the big time here :)
(also gutted that I'll be on holiday for those dates - currently hanging out for tickets for DOnny on Friday purchased on Ebay and caught up in the post strike :( )

    Believe So

Following the sell out success of shows in Las Vegas, legendary music family The Osmonds will celebrate their historic 50th anniversary in entertainment with a fabulous reunion tour of the UK.

These landmark performances will feature all seven performing Osmonds - Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny, Marie, and Jimmy - the first chance fans will have to see all the family together on stage in the UK for 27 years.
  • On a family trip to Disneyland in 1961, the brothers sang along with a barbershop quartet on Main Street. That impromptu performance got them noticed by Walt Disney himself, who gave the boys their national television debut.

An impossibility for it to be the 50th Anniversary. Donny was like 4 or 5 when they first performed...(he's 3 weeks younger than me and I just turned 50). Unless the tour actually isn't until 2011. That would work :rotfl:

Would still be fun to see.

  • hey donny is fab and yes it is celebrating 50 yrs of the osmonds being in entertainment. Some of these shows have sold out already and extra date at wembley was added.

trust me in the past 2 yrs i have seen donny 20 times in american australia new zealand and uk....he is a fabulous fun entertainer you dont really have to be a fan to enjoy the shows...hubby thinks he does a good show and he normally likes bon jovi and bryan adams and even my 18 yr old thinks he is quite good and she is into all regular music an 18 yr old is into and my 4 yr old daughter thinks he is a demi god and totally adores him and has been to many concerts...she gets more excited than when we went to disneyland. lol

Hello you ! Funnily enough our plans are Donny & Disneyland in one trip this coming summer :)
How's the new job going ?
Letrell the 50th aniversary refers to the 4 original Osmond brothers and when they started performing as a group-Donny didn't join them until later when he was 4 (He turns 50 this week-how scary is THAT !!)-and belated happy birthday to you :)

You expect me to ignore a thread with Osmond in the title ? ;)
I said no to a full week in Vegas as there's nothing for a teenager to do really so we plan to flit in and out for shows and add Disney, the Grand Canyon and Utah to the trip (with plenty of pool time included).
