How to stop recurring payment

I signed up to an online service, for which I pay every month. The service automatically takes the monthly membership fee from my account using Worldpay. I have not set up a DD to cover this.
The only way to cancel my membership is by putting a request to cancel message on their forum message board. This is what I've done, and not received a reply. Another payment has been taken since I requested cancellation.
Can anyone advise any other way to stop this payment and pursue reimbursement of the unauthorised withdrawal?

Can you not tell your bank to block it.

If you had and the company still took the money the bank would pull it back.

I did the above. The bank pulled the money back and then stopped an further payments even if the company called for the payment again.

When you say "my account" - I guess you mean your bank account, as opposed to your credit card account.

If so, did you provide your debit card details when you signed up?

If so, you've probably set up a 'Continuous Payment Authority' (or CPA).

You can cancel a CPA on a debit card by contacting your bank. They won't have a list of any CPAs that you have set up, so you will have to tell them the name of the payee, as it appears on your bank statement.

Additionally/alternatively - is the agreement you have set up with WorldPay called FuturePay?

If so, these pages suggest that you can cancel future payments by logging into the WorldPay website:
    http://support.worldpay.com/support/shopper/kb/shoppermanagementsystem/sms.htm#sms1200.html
    http://support.worldpay.com/support/shopper/kb/shoppermanagementsystem/sms.htm#sms4400.html

But it may be safer to do it through the bank.

However, cancelling the payment might mean you are breaching the contract with the service provider - so they might chase you for the money.

But if you are sure that you've followed their cancellation instructions correctly, you should be ok.

If it shows on your statement as a card payment, ask your bank to put a cancellation in place for it and they'll do it.
