You are write all the paint has worn of the letters. I have to guess wot they are.

Having typed out so many treaties, immigration documents, Ministerial papers, etc, I would have thought you could have typed accurately, and at speed, blindfolded.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

On a more serious note, I was watching "Rip Of Britain" this morning and, once again they featured parking matters. This time it was about pay by 'phone and other non cash methods of paying for parking.

Apparently 7 out of 10 people would prefer to use cash, and some will avoid non cash car parks altogether. Probably because of the wholesale abuse by PPCs.

Also, these new pound coins, why? What is wrong with the old ones?

There are supposed to be millions of fake ones going around as they apparently easy to forge.

    Gladstone Solicitors lose in Grimbsy
    UKCPM v Ms P. Grimbsy 27/10/2017.

    http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2017/10/gladstone-solicitors.html

Ms P did not agree this was a fair system and so contested the charge. UKCPM used the discredited and incompetent Gladstone Solicitors to process the claim, which eventually made it to a hearing this week.

    Prankster Notes

Jamie Ashford and Helen Cook run Gladstone's parking department. Based on their track history they must be two of the most incompetent individuals ever to have their papers regularly fill the courtroom wastepaper basket.

The Prankster would say their credibility has taken a great hit being seen off by yet another courtroom novice, but they never had any to start with.

The Prankster notes that their boss John Davies appears to be of the same opinion as he has recently revamped the Gladstone's website to remove all details of his staff and of what his firm does. Now, the only way to get past the homepage is to login with an account.

Sadly, the perverse reality is that despite their incompetence regarding parking related law, Gladstones owners also run the IPC, a trade body whose members are allowed access to the DVLA keeper database.

    THE WEBSITE ... http://www.gladstonessolicitors.co.uk/
Seems as an outsider, all they do now is debt collection ?

"We never thought it was possible to employ a solicitor to enforce such low-value debts but Gladstones' streamlined process has helped us recover money that we thought we'd have to write off"

Not what happens in court ... poor old PPC's

Do you think that they operate on the assumption that many people will be scared of going to court and don't defend?

It would be interesting to see a similar thread on BW Legal.

Regarding the older age groups, Age UK are very concerned about car parks that are purely payment by mobile phone application. There are about one in five 65 to 75 year olds that own a smart phone. It's not just the technology but some have arthritis in their hands. Thank goodness for bus passes otherwise the PPC's would have a field day.

YES, they know people are scared of court but we are
dealing with extreme low life here

I know that Age UK are concerned about modern tech payments.

Even younger people who have early onset dementia will
make these mistakes and even forget what happened even
though they are capable of driving.

The Tax credits phone line, the government of course knew
they would earn a percentage of the calls but still set up the
scam ??? Sure they are stopping it in a moths time ?
They could have stopped it immediately and they could
instruct BT to refund the call costs but they won't.

So as long as we have a government who knowingly scams
the public, the parking cowboys and their legals will go
along for the ride as well.

There is a thread about BWLEGAL

BWLegal - the list of failures growing

Gladstone lose on behalf of District Enforcement "chancers"
    http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2017/10/gladstone-lose-on-behalf-of-district.html

The hearing was the usual Gladstone shambles. The defendants sent a representative from their company. Gladstones sent Miss Jackson. In court, she admitted that they could not find a current contract and so just bunged in an old one. She also tried to argue that an aerial photograph from above, was a site plan, even though it didn’t actually show the place where they were claiming the vehicle was parked and the building in the background was so obviously different. This just had the effect of making her look incompetent.
