Ppi for 7 loans and 2 credit cards with lloyds - advice please

Options
Good Morning All,
Basically, way back in 1996, I had taken out 7 Loans with Lloyds bank, and also 2 credit cards. I had a call from Lloyds PPI people, asking about the 2 credit cards, but only 1 of the 7 Loans. They said that they already have enough info on these, to make a decision.
But how can they make a decision, based on the info I gave, with regards to the 1 loan ??
I was even asked if it was miss sold, by a Man or a Woman !??? So, all I want to clarify, is that they are investigating the other 7 loans.
I did speak to a very nice chap, who assured me they were all under investigation. But shortly after that , I has a call to say that , they need more info ! So I gave them more info, they said, a letter will be sent out shortly, and there was nothing to suggest that the other 6 loans, didn't have PPI. It must have rolled over to the next loan.I'm somewhat dubious about any kind of Pay out ??? Please help ?

  • You'll hear about each one. Though perhaps only in a regular font.

A payout will only be forthcoming if you were mis sold.
  • I did tell them that I remember being told that I had to take out the PPI, to be able to get a loan.
I was thinking of doing a SARS Letter, and pay £10 for all info they have, just to make sure they aren't fobbing me off. If they haven't asked me about the other 6 loans, then they wont hear my side of the story.
  • There won't be any fobbage.

They may not need any further information. You may not have had PPI. Or it may have been a requirement of the loan. Or they may have an audit trail of you selecting it.

They already have your side of the story. You complained that you "remember" being told that you had to have PPI in order to receive the loan.

There are two likely reasons why they feel they didn't need you to elaborate on the other six loans. The first is that you didn't have any PPI with those loans. The second is that the loans form a chain, each being consolidated into the next. If the second scenario is the case I would expect a definite win.

As I said, you've already made your complaint. No point only now considering sending them a SAR, the time for that was prior to expressing your concerns. Why waste £10?

Just relax and wait for the result of their investigation before considering your next move.
