Noise from bathroom Partywall

We live in a mid terrace house, the rest of the house is not bad and while we can hear either side it is not loud, however there is a problem with our bathroom partywall.

I could have a conversation with next door if I wanted at normal volume, it is almost like it is just a think sheet of plasterboard but it appears to be a 9" solid wall.

I have checked the joists for gaps in the floor and loft and filled some but it hasn't made any difference, I'm convinced their must be a hole behind the tiles in the bricks to be able to hear them this clearly.

Bit annoying since we would like a bit of privacy in the bathroom, without worrying they can hear us fart lol - any suggestions?

I'm thinking off removing the tiles from the wall, taking back to brick, adding battens, 75mm rockwool slabs, resilent bars and 2 lots of soundbloc boards.

It would be a big job since I don't want to retile the whole bathroom and have no idea where our tiles came from so would have to try and remove them without breaking, clean and refit.

You might be better off persevering with finding where your tiles came from and source some replacements; I bet you will break at least one removing them and probably more than one. Getting the first one out is the most difficult part of the job; once you have one out, you can get behind the others.

I've done this using a Multi Tool (Like this -> https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bosch-PMF-220-CE-Multi-Tool) and a diamond blade to cut through the grout; but I got lucky and found a tile with relatively weak adhesive.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.
