capital one not accepting payment

hi im trying to pay my capital one credit card bill but they wont accept payment from any of the 2 cards i own. ive never had this problem before paying my other credit card. i hope someone can help as i dont want a late payment on my account.

Just make a payment directly from your current account.

Are you trying to pay using prepaid debit cards? Perhaps a card from a FinTech?

Many credit cards won't accept payments from them.

As zx81 mentioned, you could pay via a bank transfer.

Other payment methods are listed on the back of your statement.

I pay my Cap 1 via online banking with HSBC. I can make the payment at 8am and by 10am it is reflected in available balance and by midnight the overall balance is adjusted. Debit card payments will take a couple of days. Always use online banking.

Pay by Bank Transfer this time, then set up a Direct Debit for further use.


Also, whatever you do, never leave the payments until so late that any payment issues could cause a late payment.

Is there as barcode on your statement so you can go to bank / pay point at a shop?

and Direct Debit going forwards. i have 3 cards, all with a DD in place.
