went to cacun about 3 weeks ago and they are not bothered in the Major cities/towns which currency you use, exchange Rate is 10 peso's to the dollar on average.I tipped in both currencies with no complaints.Most places give change from dollars in Peso's so you tend to end up with a wallet full of both anyway
You can get dollars at a good rate commision free from the post office here, most hotels/big bars change Currency for you over tere, just make sure you are getting about 10 to the dollar in exchangeEx forum ambassador
