Will Xbox one drop in price?

With the new Xbox about to come out I’m wondering will the current xbox one s drop or shops do deals on them to clear stock?
My lad has his bday coming up in November and today I was at Tesco trying to get a package but the one I wanted was sold out everywhere!!

The first Xbox One will be reduced, if you can find 1 of them new then good luck. The One S wont be heavily reduced to clear stock, the One S will be sold along the One X.

You will still find bundles for the One S, check out hukd as folk post up bundles they have seen.

There's been quite a few good deals on the Xbox One S recently but as above, the X is going to be the premium option while the S will remain the mainstream option. I can't see there being any deals hugely better than there is now particularly as MS won't be wanting to encourage people to go to the S rather than the X.

Depending when his birthday is, might it be possible to wait for black friday/cyber monday deals? Or maybe give him money and he can buy one in those sales when they start?

You can already get the X Box 1 S for less than £200. It will be lower again before Christmas.

Thats a good deal, sell Shadow Of War if not needed.

You're not very good at admitting you're wrong are you?

Technology £ for £ tends to drop in price. Both Microsoft and Sony are in direct competition with similar products in a price driven market place. It is not unreasonable for prices to continue to drop.

My gut feeling is that the XBox One S is cheaper to build than the XBox One was therefore prices have been able to drop relatively quickly.

And lets be honest, the big money for Sony and Microsoft is in the games not the consoles hence market share is the driving force
