Royal London endowment has two years left to run.
If there was another crash what would happen to its value? Is it like investing in shares or is there some degree of protection with an endowment?

As AnotherJoe says.
My own one matured recently. It was a unit based policy. Since Christmas I'd been watching the value on a weekly basis and wondered several times whether to cash in and run. In the final two weeks I was seeing changes in value of up to a few hundred pounds on a daily basis. But I let it run to maturity.
If I'd cashed in a week early I'd be £300 richer. If I'd purchased my house a day later I'd be £100 poorer. But I'm nearly £2000 better off than I would be if I'd taken the money on the day I came closest to cashing in early. I'm glad I was too lazy to do it
So if you have the same kind of unit based policy you have some interesting times ahead.... and if like mine, whatever happens the chances are it won't be worth anywhere near what the salesman told you "In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -

Just look at what happened in Autumn 2015 at the last crash.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
