    No it won't, you have to have a report stating that it was an inherent fault

    My son Bought a Sony tv,a few years ago, which failed just out of warranty and the cost via a Sony approved repair centre was a large portion of the buying price, so he complained to Sony about the short life and high costs.


    Sony offered to go halves on the repair, but my son found an independent who would repair for much less (and told him that some manufacturers make it very difficult for non-accredited repairers to obtain spares), so Sony agreed to cover the whole bill.
