Hi Guys
I'm in need of some good advise please. I'm planning a trip to Lanzarote in November for my boyf and my big 3-0!!!!
Its taken me ages to find a destination I had Cyprus and Egypt in mind too but thought Lanzarote was close by and liked the idea of a mixture of bars, scenery, excursions and camel riding as well as having a relaxing hol.
BUT I'm really stuck on where to stay I've looked at Sol Lanzarote in Matagorda but read really mixed reviews?! So do I choose Matagorda or Los Pocillos and when I decide that do I choose an apartment ( are they safe? The reviews said they weren't?) or a hotel? I have got a budget for about £400 but the less the better as I want to do some day trips!!!
PS Do I buy them here or there and from who???????
Many Many thanks for your time and patience

Hi there, I haven't been to Lanzarote for about 4 years but used to go at least 2 times a year. Los Pocillos and Matagorda bascially run along the same road which begins with Puerto Del Carman. Matagorda is the closest to the airport and is a very quiet part of the resort. We stayed there once and used to get a taxi along the road (quite a long walk!!) to PDC where many of the best restaurants and bars are. We always felt very safe there and our friends still live there in PDC old town. The Old Town is really lovely with lots of nice little restaurants and bars. Weather is pretty good all year around although it can sometimes get a little chilly in the evenings. I don't think that the beach is very nice in Matagorda so make sure you have a good pool in your hotel. Enjoy! :rotfl: :rotfl:0
