Cold Radiators!!

I have a few radiators in my house that only come on and get hot when I unscrew and take off the TRV sensing head. Is this as simple as I need new sensing heads? Any help appreciated!

Yes, the heads will be stuck. If you lift the cap off and give the little metal stem a tap, it can often free them up.0

If they are working with the heads off then the heads have broke. If your replacing with the same heads you can just replace them without changing the complete valve.0

So it wouldn't work if I just bought this from screwfix and replaced the head?

The head in the link is almost identical to the ones I've got but mine don't have any branding on them0 -
Yes if you have Drayton valves they will be fine.
If you get the faulty one and remove a working one, put your finger inside the trv head and turn it on and off you will feel the good one move in and out. The faulty one will not move and be stuck in the off position. It’s quite common with the Drayton heads.0
