I had my first failure recently too when I loaded a well tested curry recipe up with loads of carrots I had kicking around and it tasted wrong.

Hmm. Carrot curry - interesting. There are some lessons that cannot be taught, they must be learned.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)
  • well done you  what about a great big toad in the hole not sure if it would freeze (its very easy and makes people go:drool: )

Oh I can make toad in the hole with ease. Mum and dad loved them when I used to do them at home. Can't understand why people have such a hard time with stuff like this. I find them SO easy!

Can't get it to rise!? Mine takes over the oven!

I knocked up a quick stew tonight.
And got in mince to make a chilli at the weekend.

Then realised.... it's now stew for lunch and chilli for tea for the next 4 days.
    I want variety dammit!!!

Can't even add more into the stew to change it, as that would prolong it and I'd like to move on and have something else.

Cooking for one ... always a nightmare (unless you're fat and can just eat the damned lot)
