When to Move £ to Euro

This may well be an unanswerable question.

After 22+ years of military service and saving my cash, I have a fairly good bank account balance... the problem is I want to settle in Holland so I would have to move my UK Pounds to Euro. I'm still recovering from the BREXIT decision, but what are peoples thoughts on moving cash across the Channel. I keep waiting for things to pick up but I seriously do not think that is going to happen anymore, but then again....

Move when it's right for you. Currencies have always fluctuated up and down. Rates were this low a few years back with no mention of Brexit. Little point in getting hung up. Life is too short.
  • It's an unanswerable question, but you could hedge it by moving some now and some later on.

I'd be more worried about whether you will be able to settle
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

The usual solution is to smear butter on the OP's paws and by the time he's licked it all off, he'll be accustomed to his new surroundings.
  • In certain parts of Amsterdam you can get butter smeared on all sorts things (so I'm told :o)

If thi is a longstanding plan, did you move soem pre brexit?

I have a house in france so need Euros. So changed some pre brexit, and since then i have changed when the price rose (incl a few weeks back when it hit a post brexit high).

I also changed some to Dollars too.
