Bank account application data

I applied for a new bank account with FD and was advised that they needed to check my application and would contact me within 2 working days. It got me thinking about how much of my application information can they confirm from the data already available to them.

For example, my salary, my outgoings, my marital status. Also the bank account I gave them given that it is too old for any of the CRAs to include it on my credit report.

It'll probably be enough to make a decision on you based on CRA records.

I suspect FD's default position if there's insufficient information will be a decline
