John Major speaking a lot of common sense today. Q: Do you think the Northern Ireland problem is soluble? Major says there is no more complex problem in the talks than the problem of Northern Ireland. That was obvious from the start. But some people who should have known better denied this was a problem. The can was kicked down the road, he says. He says staying in a customs union would solve the problem, he says. But he says the extraordinary improvement in peace in Northern Ireland is a significant prize. And people may not think trade with Ireland is that important. But the UK does more trade with Ireland than with South Korea, India, Australia and New Zealand put together, he says.

TrustPilot - one star out of 5

These reviews explain exactly why they went bust.

    EDIT TO ADD:

    TrustPilot for ToysRUs:

One star out of five - what a coincidence.

    Trustpilot!

    EE gets 1.6/5 on Trustpilot
    Virgin Media 1.0/5
    Scottish Power 0.5/5

Are these outfits about to go bust also?

It's pretty damn rich coming from the idiot who got us into this situation in the first place. He was the one who signed us up to Maastricht without the consent of the people which led directly to the current situation.

Well, it was reported just this week that Scottish Power lost 200,000 customers last year. Doesn't help when your customers think you're carp.

Notably, he only offers a solution which pleases Ireland and the EU at our expense.

Ireland and the EU have a big problem with Irish trade post Brexit. Our best option is to sit and do nothing - and wait for concessions to resolve the issue.

I read an opinion piece in the Graudian, the title of which made me chuckle.
The UK’s Brexit negotiating tactic is to drive our fellow Europeans mad
    Good, I thought.
After all, these are the people that have been driving so many of us in Great Britain to distraction for years!

Only because the Daily Mail has been feeding people anti-EU propaganda for years.

Was on the continent last week and it struck me how little (if any) coverage these latest brexit happenings got in their media.
We're not driving anyone mad, tracey. They just got utterly bored with the whole thing.
Europe has moved on and has lost interest in our foot stamping and dummy spitting. Good, I thought.

Did you see a quote and a link or a blank page?
Kindly cease the unwarranted barbs - or are you one of those who, as has been suggested, is doing little more than trying to provoke such disagreement as to get this thread shut down?
Genuine curiosity, as you post links to lots of articles with titles that support the point you're making (brexit will be a success because investment is still happening), but with article text that either invalidates your point or heavily caveats it. It genuinely looks like you're posting links without reading the content, and that's just a waste of everyones time.
