New HSBC debit card

I received a new HSBC debit card out of the blue unrequested.
My current card expires in 2019, has sort code & account number on front.
I noticed new card has same sort code, but different number to the right, which I think could be a new account number.
Will my account number change when I switch to new card ?
Are they changing my account number ?

That brochure might explain it, but I have had nothing from HSBC about creating ring-fenced bank (as I have with another bank) and the Sort Code on my new card has not changed.
This leaflet says that your Sort Code may change so the Account Number will change.
Sort code on my new & old cards are same.0 -
HSBC are pretty useless at disseminating information and it wouldn't surprise me at all if you got a letter of explanation in another week or so.
They upgraded my account to "Advance" and supplied new cards etc. before telling me they would.0
