I have just moved into a turnkey property.
Our gas wood burner stove was filled with water from heavy rain due to a faulty chimney. The builder fixed the chimney.
The gas stove has rusted inside and around joints. The hearth tiles have rust were the feet stand. He has seen this but has made no comment
Am I entitled to ask the builder to replace both stove and hearth.

What was the condition like before and after the contracts were exchanged? I assume a turnkey property is just the same as any other sale apart from the fact it's fully decorated ready to live in.

You should really speak to your solicitor about this as he/she is really the best person to ask.

The stove is brand new never used. But with water damage and rust I feel it should be replaced especially as it is a gas appliance for health and safety reasons as well...Thanks for advice I will contact my solicitor..
