New build builders noise!

We recently moved into a New Build estate, and the day we moved in we were told by the site manager that the builders would not be allowed to play their radios now that the site was inhabited in the first wave.
Right... since the end of June (when we first moved in) we have on and off had our house booming with their radio noise being played at excessive levels. I've worked out that they have the radio loud to cover the sound of their machinery...
Usually I don't like to be a party pooper BUT I am up for work at 5am most mornings, and when I return home in the afternoon I do like to try and have a sleep. Is it too much to ask for them to quieten the music?
I bit my tongue for around a month when we first moved in hoping it would end... I was wrong. Last week I ended up having to ring the customer helpline and request the music to be turned down, they assured me it would be turned down....it wasn't. I've tried politely speaking to the builders... a promise to turn it down...nothing. I've spoken to the site office, she rings and complains, but as soon as she's gone...volume straight back up!
Because our house is right on the edge of the next phase, we are talking less than 10 metres is our house from the building work. The machinery and noise, that's fine, I knew what I signed up for...but the booming bass from the stereo on the other hand...maybe not so much.
Any thoughts on how to deal with this? Anyone know where I stand on complaining about this and whether it could be considered a noise nuisance? although I know that because it is between 7.30 and 5.30 it may not fall into that category?
Ideally, I'd like to just wind my neck in and use my ear plugs, but I can still feel the bass on my bed vibrating with them on! Also, anyone worried about the builders not fixing our snags etc if we complain...from the start we have been fighting to get anyone to come and fix anything...! this makes me a little less concerned about complaining if I'm honest!
Any thoughts?

Is the site manager who told you no radio still on site? If so I’d try to speak to him. If no joy, I’d write a letter to the main director, you’ll get his name from companies house at no cost.0

Ask the site manager to come to your house and witness the noise. Ask him what he is doing about the unnecessary noise. If the bass is being felt in your property that is ridiculous. Contact your councils environmental health team, they will decide if its a noise nuisance.
