Safestyle- finance?

Hi all
Apologies in advance for the vagueness of this...
My partner, probably back in ~2000, got her windows replaced through safestyle. She got it on finance and recalls they basically forced her into getting PPI (she didn't want it).
She's fairly sure she might have a claim but in case we can't find the paperwork, who would we approach about this? Did safestyle always use the same finance company? Or is safestyle themselves liable?
Any advice/ thoughts would be very welcome.
Thanks!

HPAS Ltd t/a Safestyle UK are currently credit brokers. It was likely the same in 2000. So they would have sold you any PPI in 2000. The problem you will likely have is that regulation of brokers only started in 2005, thus any complaint you make can be dismissed.0 -
Any complaint will be dismissed in short order. The sale took place five years before regulation. The problem you will likely have is that regulation of brokers only started in 2005, thus any complaint you make can be dismissed.
17 years on, there are probably no records of the sale anyhow.0
