I have experimented with this the last couple of days

It appears to be random - I have clicked on the same retailer multiple times and then it will appear. I have clicked on retailers where others have found birds and it hasn't appeared.

I find the best method is to look for one by clicking through random merchants. As soon as you get one, leave it for a while.

Come back a couple of hours later and try again. Usually find another then fairly soon.


Every time that I have spent a while on the site in one session, I usually only find one

Or go through the lengthy list on page 1. I quickly right click to open thirty or so of them in new tabs, then go back and check whether there's a hummingbird or not. I've been getting between 1 (today) and 15 hummingbirds a day by doing so.
