Court letter returned to sender as sent to the wrong address

Does anyone know what would happen in this situation?
The LBC was issued in June & wasn't responded to. Presumably the court letter would follow? If the person at the address that the court letter was sent to returned all letters to sender from July onwards how would you know if court papers have been sent? The solicitor is Gladstones.

Check your credit file/credit agency etc to see if a ccj has been awarded against you and take it from there

unfortunately the law states "last KNOWN address"

however gladstones should have used a tracing agent to get the new address .

you will not know if court papers have been sent , only when you check your credit file will you see a default ccj or not.

Is this question related to any of your other three threads?
  • No im asking for a friend who is in the same situation as me. All correspondence has been sent to the address she rents out, apart from the first parking charge notice which was sent to her current address. She received an LBC in June but didn't respond & since July her new tenant has sent all letters received back to sender for some reason so she doesn't know if court papers have been issued

As advised, all she can do is check her credit file.

(And should inform the creditor/sol of her new address, assuming it was a proper LBC)
