car power for my dell laptop

hi i have a dell inspiron 1501 and am looking to get a car power supply can anyone fill me in on what i need. i have seen some on ebay but am unsure of the wattage or voltage i will need to do this.
If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.

Why not buy an inverter for about £20 from the likes of Maplins, plugs into cig lighter and gives 240v outplug through a domestic socket. Then use standard mains charger.0

They sell lots of car adapters for different laptops.
Just make sure the voltage and current output matches your mains one (if you are buying generic).0
