car power for my dell laptop

hi i have a dell inspiron 1501 and am looking to get a car power supply can anyone fill me in on what i need. i have seen some on ebay but am unsure of the wattage or voltage i will need to do this.
If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.

    Why not buy an inverter for about £20 from the likes of Maplins, plugs into cig lighter and gives 240v outplug through a domestic socket. Then use standard mains charger.

    Have a look at: http://www.laptopshop.co.uk/

    They sell lots of car adapters for different laptops.

    Just make sure the voltage and current output matches your mains one (if you are buying generic).
