Best Wifi security camera set up for home

Dh has decided he would like to buy a Wifi Camera security system that will have a camera (or 2) to cover the house and one to cover the garden as we are in the process of building me a garden office which will house my rather substantial craft supply collection
He has currently been looking at the ARLO Netgear which seems to range in price from £300 ish to £680 ish (I have no idea what the difference is but assume there is one!). He wants to be able to log in from his phone or ipad and be able to see whats going on if we are away etc.
Does anyone have any recommendations on systems or knowledge of the above system? is it worth the money and easy to use?
