Limited Lifetime Warranty

I bought some Corsair RAM back in 2013. Recently started to have a lot of BSODs in Windows. After much testing with MemTest86 I've found it to be one stick of the 64GB RAM I have installed. Looking back it appears this RAM has a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

What does that actually mean? Is it just relating to manufacturing defects?

As the other sticks are fine I assume they couldn't claim it's wear and tear.

I'll e-mail Corsair as well and see what they say.

Manufacturer's warranties are in addition to your statutory rights and as such can include restrictions.

You'll need to refer to the warranty documentation, or ask whoever is providing the warranty, for an explanation of Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Did you buy direct from Corsair?

You have a statutory right to seek a remedy from whoever sold the stuff to you - beit Corsair or another seller - for up to six years following the sale.

Thanks. I purchased the RAM via Ebuyer. Would I need to speak to them first or will they just tell me I need to speak to Corsair?

Go to corsair you shouldn't have any problems & if they dont make your ram sticks any more you will get a free upgrade.

For a warranty claim, you'd need to contact the manufacturer. Try http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/support/warranty.

The warranty only covers defects in material or worksmanship. You'd struggle to prove that is an issue on 4 year old RAM. No harm in asking though.
