Going to olso - where to go?

Hi all
Travelling to oslo tomorrow with ryanair, (5 girls, mid 20s) looking for suggestions for good places to go/see whilst there (arrive in oslo city about 6pm and leave sat about midday) trying to do as much as we can for as little as we can - taking pot noodles etc with us and taking our own duty free to drink!
Is the Oslo pass worth it? We are staying near the big park in oslo if that any help.

You can go and watch the changing of the guard at the norwegian equivalent of Buckingham Palace which is right at the end of Karl Johan Gate.
If you go over to the Bygdoy peninsula there are a few musuems but not sure if you'd be interested in folk or boat museums! There is also Akerhus which has castle related attractions.
As your aware food and drink is pricey - cost me nearly £15 for a Jack Daniels and coke in the hard rock cafe!Cover me in honey and fling me to the hermaphrodites!0
