I will probably get flamed for this, but if the government had one ounce of sense and scrapped the stupid £200 for every pregnant woman to spend on fruit and vegetables, and spent the money on an accurate test for gbs instead, i for one would be very happy.

Butterfly, i cant remember mentioning this on the other thread, but i heard women are automatically tested for gbs in Spain(with an accurate test-unlike the uk). I used to email Jane a lot when i was pregnant with ydd, i frequented pregnancy boards to while away the time and found some shocking stories, one mum went into premature labour and her waters broke, despite having gbs and was left for several days before being induced. Thankfully her baby was ok. Another mum whose husband worked in the nhs labs, swore the nhs tests were 100% accurate.:mad:

I understand that they do test automatically in Spain and a number of other countries in Europe, as well as America and elsewhere.
