Give us the hotel and dates and I'll bet a better price can be found than with an agent nobody's heard of.

Bear in mind that price comparison sites are no longer reliable as the major agents usually offer lower prices to signed-in members than they advertise publicly.

If it were me I'd book with hotels.com and ask them to match the price under their price guarantee, assuming they sell the same room under the same terms. Not without risk but in my experience they will honour it so long as you meet all the criteria.

We've used them a few times for accommodation on corfu and never had any issues. We did however know the hotel before we booked it so knew we would be OK with the actual accommodation. Service wise we didn't have any problems so didn't have to go down that route either.
They are a hotel supplier so don't own any of their hotels, it's likely they book with a local agent who buys from the hotel directly so there will be a few people in the chain but that's the same with Hotels.com too and many others.

  • Do you mean Sunshine Holidays or Sunshine.co.uk? The latter are just an OTA. They book whichever elements you request through various suppliers. For accommodation that will be with a bedbank. Using OTAs who use bedbanks you do increase the risk of getting bumped because the bedbanks pay such low rates. The hotels can get more by selling to a direct booker so they overbook and hope they get a cancellation.

Personally I'd either book direct or with booking.com.

Sunshine are ALWAYS slightly cheaper than the rest for your Med hotels etc.
I've used them lots of times. NEVER had a problem.

Yes I agree. I have used them many times and they always work out cheapest for me. They have been bought by On the Beach and I hope the prices don't creep up. As the same hotels cost more with On the Beach.
