    Not if the string is tied very close to the garment and then cut - they would need to replace the string - hence having unusual colour(s) to deter miscreants.
    Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

    You can get tamper tally, like the ones on fire extinguishers for pennies each, they can't be reattached or resealed once broken, they come with large numbers in a box...

    None of it is going to make a blind bit of difference, anyone who does this knows Ebay will refund them anyway regardless of how you get it back as it's all to easy for them.


    Getting the weekend party outfit and sending it back on the Monday is a heck of a lot older than Ebay. The serial returners are not going to be put off by a tag.
