Bank transfer

I have to do a bank transfer, so I thought I could do it through my credit card but it looks I can't!

It is possible to do it through cash, or other means?

Thanks

You do it through your bank account.

What are you actually trying to achieve?
  • In order to do a bank transfer to another account, you need funds in your current account that you can send.

You don't use your debit card, but you do use the funds in your current account.

If you are trying to send money from your credit card to a bank account, you can only do that with special offers (MBNA, Barclaycard are the usual good providers of such deals, but it would be to your own account, then you'd forward it on) as this is a cash advance and outside of a special deal is a big no-no!

If you are really insistent on sending funds from your bank account, you can pay them via PayPal... however I'm unsure you can send funds from a credit card unless its a purchase (if you mark it as a purchase when its not, then that's fraud!) but you'll incur interest if you don't pay the statement off in full.

What are you trying to do? Who are you paying and why? These questions can help people give you advice. Unless you have a "money transfer" offer on your credit card that allows you to transfer money to your own bank account for free, you cannot use your credit card to fund this transaction!

A bank transfer is just what the name suggests. A transfer from one bank account to another. Bank transfers cannot be done by credit card or debit card.
