;73245142]Both? The instructor won't be there.
It is not unknown but rare for a driving instructor to take a pupil for test using the pupils own car, also a candidate can request that their instructor is allowed to sit in the back during the test.
However the instructor is only there for observation and the test could be aborted if they interfered or commented in any way, but the quote in Post29 above by Tarambor that 'both' the examiner and instructor need to have a rear view mirror is incorrect, only the examiner must have one.0
