Thanks for yours too, I know I'm biased but genuinely feel placing insurance via an Insurance Broker is very benefical.
Hope your good record continues, but insurance of course is there to cover the unknown, as you never know what's round the corner.

Are you saying Kwik-Fit are a sole agent of an insurer? You are actually in this business?? They are a broker like any other and have many insurers on their panel.EmberJDIns wrote: »Agent of the Insurer, as won't deal with an extensive panel of insurers to offer real choice and options like an Insurance Broker.
Some of us use a local greengrocer, baker, butcher and the milkman, as the quality is generally better, service is friendlier, and if not supported once their gone it's too late. An Insurance Broker is the same, quality, friendliness, expertise and good old fashioned values. A tradition well worth preserving.
Just 'cos they did me well with super cheap insurance for 3 years with 2 major insurance providers (NIG, RSA) , and can no longer do so, doesn't mean they are not a proper broker.
However, like you seem to me, they like to push "legal expenses". LOL! You can always trust a broker who pushes worthless cover.0 -

An Insurance Broker in the true spirit of the profession deals with a wide variety of insurance risks, has an extensive panel of insurers some of which only deal with the intermediary channel, and often offers niche scheme insurances.
As for your last paragraph, your sweeping statement isn't worthy of a reply.0 -
Hi charliewr,Can anyone help me?
I paid extra to direct line for legal protection. I had an accident that was not my fault and called the police and ambulance as I was hurt. The paramedic took the photo's of the position my car was in for me. Now direct line and the solicitor assigned are making me take a 50 50 settlement and will not take the case further. I want my day in court to rpove my innocence. Can anyone help?
Who is the solicitor dealing with the claim?

It is important to understand that Direct Line are there to protect your best interests.
They can advise you on settlements - sadly many insurers go 50-50 to avoid the work that goes with a different settlement e.g. 70-30.
Ulitmately the insurer must do what you instruct - they can advise you and make you aware of the consequences if your day in court goes pear shaped (litigation has many risks) but if you insists the insurer must issue proceedings.
