My 17 year old DD wants to go away with friends next year.
Friend (in her wisdom) has booked the holiday today with Loveholidays as she thought it was a good deal. She's made a mistake and booked the wrong airport. They have all paid a deposit of £29 with monthly instalments until June. Although they called Loveholidays within the hour of booking to try and rectify, shes been told there is no cooling off period and it must be paid and they must fly from the airport booked.
I have said to them it is probably cheaper to lose the deposit and start fresh with a new booking, but they have told me they have been told by loveholidays that they have to go ahead with the whole thing...
Is this correct?

You need to read the T's and C's that Love holidays sent but i'd imagine its true.
Can they just travel to the other airport?0 -
Our local is Man this is from Gatwick :-(
I really thought they could just lose the deposit?
The T's and C's are quite confusing tbh. The only thing I think we may have on our side is they do state the booking should be made by persons of 18 years......she is 17?0 -
I'd imagine the £29 is just a low deposit and even if they cancelled they would have to pay the balance of that deposit.
What they can do depends on what exactly they've booked, and the terms and conditions of both LoveHolidays and their suppliers.0 -
If it's a flight plus booking , the flight part would normally need to be paid and would be non refundable.
It still may be worth travelling to Gatwick0 -

Love Holidays won't accept a booking if the lead passenger isn't 18. It checks the age from the date of birth.0 -
